State of the DCU So, James Gunn is now one of the two new pilots of the DC comics film and TV universe (along with Peter Safran). And he has announced the first slate of projects. Great. So before I break this whole thing down, let me say I was pleased to hear Gunn was taking over the reigns and try to steer the DCU towards a continuity that made sense. I, for a long time, said that is what they should do and model it(somewhat) ater the MCU. I mean, it's a formula that WORKS, why not do it! Fans were excited. Then the hammer fell. No more Cavil, Affleck or Godot. But strangely, they are keeping Momoa and Miller(WHY?), and then the hate came. Cavil is a fan favorite and he is a known geek, so he is 'one of us'.
