First Days

This is new for me. A trip out of my comfort zone and into the unknown. Going into the untethered void alone is always a challenge, and this is not different. This also marks the turning point in my life in many ways. First these days(following the crap show of January 2022) are definitely new territory. And I say from February 2022 until now(mid-September 2022) I have been a lazy, depressed wreck. But that is changing, albeit slower than I wanted.

I have a friend that is helping me with nutrition and a lot of support friends and that is always a win. I have begun downsizing and prepping to sell items. Also trying to force myself back to work is proving tougher than I thought it would be, but I am getting there.

Work is a problem. With the last few years(thanks Covid) being what they were, I have gained a lot of weight and that has affected my walk and stamina. The weight, in addition to sitting far too much on the past few years. I did realize that kitchen work proved too much these days(it's a game for the young now-another blog will be written about that), and for anyone in the business knows, you stand on hard floors with poor shoes for long periods of time. That is not good for health, feet, back, posture...you get it. And now I have the aftereffects of my left leg either seizing up or just throbbing on pain after walking a short distance. She(my nutritionist) is hooking me up with a chiropractor and hopefully that will help. In addition to that, I have adjusted my diet and trying to keep that going being that it is the hardest part. Truth be told, I am a food/eating addict. I admit that. And on the exercise front, I have found my old DDPY video set and have lightly started it again. I tried it a few years back but lacked the inner strength to keep doing it.

DDPYoga: For those who don't know what that is, it is a resistance yoga program built by Diamond Dallas Page, a former pro wrestler who broke his back in the ring and his wife hooked up into yoga. But he didn't want the mystical, religious implications so he designed YRG(Yoga for Regular Guys) and it took off. He has helped other wrestlers, veterans and regular folks 'Own it!', adn retake their lives. And now I am on that journey.

Next comes the future. I am planning to get an RV or van and travel the country. Whether I make it full time, is yet to be seen. But that is my ultimate goal. So with that I would have to make money on the road. I have many avenues I am going to explore. From drone pilot, blogger, vlogger, photographer, podcaster....so many things I want to get out there.

2023 will be a busy year.
